Whats happened in the Rental Market this week!

By Elizabeth Goulding

Our  general enquiry still remains strong and our vacancy rates low  as the continued sale of  rental properties is  forcing many long terms tenants to relocate.

This is most noticeable in the 3-4  bedroom $400- $500. per week  sector  where many “accidental” investors are realising their assets to owner occupiers.

Student rentals have also been leasing well with many owners achieving good  increased returns for  well located  and  well maintained  housing. There is clearly some concern among the student community about the shortage of accommodation with many tenants renewing their contracts and not relocating, while others have commented  about being priced out of the market .
